I will continue from the last post on knowing your benefits in redemption. In the last post, I wrote about wisdom and longevity, knowing how beneficial they can be to our lives when they are being applied well.
This post will be about who we are and who God sees us as.
God spoke to Abraham in Genesis 13: 15 that as far as his eyes could see, He will give the land to him and his descendants.
Some people are limited in life and destiny not because some evil people are after them but because they are scared to dream big. They don’t believe such goals can be achievable. Don’t limit yourself. Don’t become too comfortable with where you are, move out of your comfort zone. High flyers, limit breakers dare the impossible. They are seen as weird individuals.
The Word of God says it is to you according to your faith.
Questions
Who are you? Where do you belong on earth and eternity? What authority do you have? etc.
Before I begin answering these questions let’s take a look at Ephesians 2: 5- 6.
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
From this passage, one can say that even when we had no knowledge of it. Before we were even born (because Jesus died and rose again over 2000 years ago), God has made us sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This truth can only be activated when we are in Christ Jesus.
Now, where exactly is our Lord Jesus seated? By getting the answer to this, we’ll know where we are seated because we are in Him.
Ephesians 1: 20 -21 (start from verse 1 for better understanding).
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
In essence, we are seated at the right hand of God in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
The reason why Christians are still being pursued physically or in their dreams by short demons is either they have no knowledge of this or they are yet to believe and take authority of what God says about them.
An Ambassador
Do you also know that we are called Ambassadors of Christ? 2 Corinthians 5: 20.
Who is an Ambassador? This is a high ranking official who represents a state/country in another land. Benefits of an Ambassador include; free housing, free protection, free health services among others.
An Ambassador of a country in another country e.g An Ambassador of the U.S in Nigeria will not be affected by whatever harsh condition facing Nigerians but would live like he is in the United States despite being in Nigeria. The same applies to those that are Ambassadors of Christ.
Though we live in a world full of darkness, we are entitled to enjoy free protection, divine health, prosperity and every other good thing in Heaven because that’s where we really belong. This is only possible to the level at which one understands and how far one sees.
Knowing our benefits and putting such to practice will always empower us to live above situations and circumstances of life.
