A man/ woman of destiny

All through my little journey in life, I’ve come to realize that great men/ women who have made or are making an impact in their generation possess particular qualities that set them apart from others.

In this post, I will be discussing five of these qualities that set these individuals apart.

Integrity

According to the Cambridge dictionary, Integrity can be defined as, “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that you refuse to change”.

A man/ woman of integrity will always say the truth at all times, not trying to please one party at the expense of another. 

Individuals with this quality will go far. I am yet to see a man with integrity not hated by others, he is normally called all sorts of names. The beauty about this is, the same people calling these names, when they are in search of the truth or a person whose hands their properties will be safe in, they still go back to this man/ woman of integrity.

Unfortunately, in the society we live in, men/ women with integrity are very few. Everybody wants to please this and that person because “you may need their help in future”. The scratch my back I scratch your back disease. 

Bold/ Fierce

To be bold, there must be a force behind you either good or evil. True children of God are as bold as a lion. I also happen to notice that people on the other side have so much confidence in their charms/ incantations until it fails them. To succeed in life, you cannot be in the middle. If you are not for God, you are on your own and this is very risky. 

There are times in life where you need to dare challenges, obstacles to move to the next level. There are times where you need to take drastic measures directed by God which initially may make you look stupid or hated by men, but at the end, people will understand and thank God you took such measures. Never fake boldness because the enemy knows when you are a fake. Build your muscle of faith in Christ and exercise your authority.

Service to Humanity

One mystery in life that will not change as long as the earth remaineth is the mystery of sowing and reaping. The mystery of giving and receiving. A pastor that doesn’t give will remain poor but an unbeliever who keeps giving will continually be blessed by God.

God is not a respecter of persons and the covenant of seedtime and harvest will always be alive as long as we see day and night time. God has placed each and every one of us on earth for a purpose.

That purpose is to serve the need of mankind. For this to happen, we ourselves will need to be serviced. In essence, the major reason God has given you that talent, the wealth, is not just for you to enjoy and withhold/ limit it to your family members. 

You need to open your hands so they can flow to other people around. Once you start servicing the need of humanity through your resource/ talent as directed by God, you then begin to grow from grace to grace and you’ll begin to fulfill destiny.

Asking God for directions and following the way He leads is very important. This is because for you to harvest anything, there must have been a fertile ground and most grounds we think are fertile, are really not. The important thing here is obeying God’s instructions as regards our destiny in life and servicing the needs of mankind.

Not wanting to be noticed

Most times, men/ women of destiny are usually behind closed doors, not wanting to be noticed. They don’t like taking credit for their hard work. All they desire is for things to work properly. They are really blessed and happy when other people are doing well as a result of their efforts.

When they perform a significant act that others see as mind-blowing, they would prefer it to be hidden rather than it being exposed to the public.

From my observation, I have come to find out that there are some groups of people who actually fake this (lol). I won’t be dwelling much on this but would do so in future posts. The good thing is, God is a God that searches the heart (we can’t hide from Him) and He gives to every man according to his labour.

Don’t talk too much

They don’t make a mountain out of a molehill. Rather than dwelling on the past, they fix their gaze on the future. Rather than “oh how I wish” they say, “what’s the way forward”. Finally, they don’t easily give up.
