How was man created? Genesis 2: 7, “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being”. This breath of life is the spirit man. It is because of the spirit man that man is actually a living being. The body of man was created from the dust of the ground.
Job said, “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life”(Job 33: 4). Despite the spirit of man coming first before any other part, people tend to ignore the spirit. Can the reason for this be because we as humans are more in tune with what we can see thereby ignoring the supernatural which is more superior?
People are more concerned about the body than any other part. They are all about what to eat, what to wear, job opportunities, houses, husband/wife/children, therefore, paying little attention to the spirit. Developing your body adds no profit to the spirit or soul but could end up taking other parts towards the path of destruction. Development of the spirit according to the word of God will protect and preserve the soul and body.
The spirit-man
A large number of people don’t have faith (spiritual), rather than waiting for their time to come (patience), they want the money, resources (physical) now. People prefer to be physically developed than spiritual. They want to engage with something they can see, and touch.
What such people fail to realize is that, the more in tune you are with your spirit, the more productive you will become on earth. This is because the Spirit of God guides us through our spirit. He gives us instructions. When we obey, we escape all traps set by the enemy and become prosperous in whatever we do.
The result of how one treats his/ her spirit man will reveal where he/ she will end up in eternity. If we take responsibility by making our spirit rule other parts of our being thereby putting our body under, the benefits of this will extend to eternity.
Paul speaking in 1 Corinthians 9: 27 (NIV), “ No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize”. This is Paul the great Apostle speaking, he was also conscious of his body.
Many times the spirit is willing but the flesh (body) is weak. It is our responsibility to discipline the flesh so it doesn’t end up in eternal damnation. When the spirit needs empowerment through prayer and fasting, the flesh should adjust to starvation.
Benefits of being spiritually sensitive
Firstly, one is able to escape destruction. Being spiritually sensitive means your spirit is taking the lead and this will immerse a lot of blessings for you. It will be easier to receive instructions from God that will end up in blessings and also one will be able to escape danger ahead.
Another benefit is that it makes you fulfill your destiny in grand style. When you follow God closely and obey His instructions with humility and godly fear, then you have nothing to lose.
How to feed the spirit
-Regularly studying and meditating on the Word of God.
-Seek empowerment through prayer and fasting. Fasting makes you more sensitive to spiritual things but fasting without prayer or meditation of God’s Word is hunger strike.
-Listen/ read Christian tapes and books.
-Attend church services regularly because they go from strength to strength all those that appear in mount Zion (Psalm 84: 7). We know that Zion is the church of God (Hebrews 12: 22-27, Obadiah, Obadiah 1: 17)
If you want to surrender to Jesus, take this salvation prayer.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood, and deliver me from the power of sin and death. I believe that you died for me and on the third day you rose again. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you Lord, for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.
Congratulations my dear brother and sister. Now a brand new you have emerged because if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5: 17). If you just surrendered to Jesus, you can reach us lychicrafts@gmail.com to stay in touch.
