Trial periods are periods to learn. There was a point in my life where I went through a series of tests, trials at a close range. I began to wonder if I was the only person going through such which definitely i’m not. People were just picking on me, using one as a scapegoat even though I was innocent most of the time. The duration between these test was so close that it became a thing of concern to me.
I later understood that sometimes these tests are very important to develop some virtues that lay dormant in you. If not stirred up by these circumstances would remain dormant and useless. The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8: 19).
We are the sons of God and therefore need these gifts to be stirred up in us which sometimes occur through trials.
Lessons Learnt during the trials
The lessons learned during this short period of the trial were;
- Mind your business and don’t try to do things to please others (eye service). The Word of God also tells us not to be men-pleasers (Ephesians 6: 6- 8).
- Put your trust in God because men have a 100% chance of failing you. Man is unstable as water.
- Whenever someone does something you don’t like, it’s better to call them outright there rather than keeping it in your mind and the gossiping with others later. This could lead to unforgiveness. Speaking your mindsets you free, makes you liberated whether or not you get punished wrongly for it.
- Finally, when men do all sorts of evil against you just because you refuse to follow their evil ways and prefer to stand with God, don’t get offended. This point usually interests me because the way God defends such persons is amazing. People will begin to say stuff like, “leave that man alone o, I don’t know the charm he is using”. people will see that God is for you.
I got this from a post that says, “The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets. The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain”. Some kind-hearted people were not born that way, they went through challenges that broke them up and brought out their inner beauty. Others who were kindhearted as children have become something else because of what they’ve faced in life. One can choose to be good or bad after experiencing life trials.
As beautiful as gold is, it had to pass through the fire. Life is a battlefield. Trials that come our way are to make us stronger and better not weaker and bitter. Some of these trials may be that God allowed it while others could be a result of our careless decisions. At the end of the day, how we handle each situation and the different lessons we learn from each trial is what matters.
You want to be a champion, be ready to learn from that challenge.
